Jesus?

Every day that you are alive, when you carry about your day, your consciousness is being drowned in negative energy. For most people, they are only one slow driver away from being in an emotional chaos. Some people wake up only to arrive in a place with people who bully them and make them feel less of a person. Others have resent in their hearts that is totally justified and understood by all. Some people are in toxic relationships that they are trying to exit but are struggling for various reasons. Many have rude bosses who projects their anger on them. The list goes on and on. To squeeze all the negative energy that each one of us faces in one paragraph is an impossible task.

Imagine with me that Jesus is walking behind you every second of every day. He walks behind you and patiently waits for every drip of negativity that comes you. He hopes that he can be your spiritual garbage collector. Imagine that every angry projection, bad driver, rude customer, toxic lover, mean boss annoyance etc… are constantly projecting these negative balls of energy at you which in return stabs your peace and content. Instead of taking the hit of these little devil balls, you simply hand them off to Jesus and he rids it. What this means is it is not your burdens to bear.

Unnecessary Suffering-resent

You don’t deserve to be resentful for someone else’s bad behavior. How odd, that by holding on to resent and negative energy from someone, even when it’s justified, the only real loser is yourself? How unfortunate that if someone directly attacks you with the sharp sword of mean words, they not only hurt you in that moment, but for the rest of that week? Or year? Or even lifetime? Let this honestly sink in, for this moment with me. Resent stabs you twice: once in that moment and another with it attaching to your conscious.

Allow me to use the simplest, bold hypothetical example. Imagine with me that you are walking down the road with your significant other. You see another individual ahead. As you walk, they randomly decide to attack whatever insecurity you have in your mind. It almost feels like they KNEW what you were insecure about and screams it to you verbally. Not only that, but it’s quite obvious that they want you to feel upset or hurt. Embarrassment is their end goal here. Your subconscious mind screams to 1. physically fight 2. verbal argue 3. walk away but hold onto this event for the entire night and week. I’d toss all my dice on the fact that any individual with their significant others will fall into one of these three categories almost every time. I randomly put a “significant other” in this scenario because an individual’s pride is only that much more felt with them around. The subconscious craving to fight back is potent as you face this direct negative projection on your ego and self-security. This is a prime example of facing direct bad energy.

What can we do other than these three reactions here? Easy: simply skip all three reactions above and immediately do a handoff to Jesus. I mean from the second this angry individual tosses this bad energy at you the handoff occurs. Jesus takes it and retires it, so you don’t need to feel it. What does this mean for you? It means we can actually add a fourth reactionnot feeling any anger, resent or fear at all. I mean this, literally. In a beautiful way, the peace we felt before this encounter would not be touched in any way, shape, or form because you hand off to Jesus from the beginning. What this means is you smile in that moment, and you carry about your evening, not obsessing over this negative event. You have deep peace as if it never even occurred. Now do me a mental favor and use this same logic to literally every negative feeling you have in life. Toss it off to Jesus and be happy. PERIOD. It’s such a simple concept that is a reality if we allow it. Just imagine a quick handoff to Christ, letting go of all of those negative feelings you do not deserve. He deeply desires this handoff. He is behind you, looking at you hold onto negativity for no reason other than lacking trust or awareness? Let go and trust.

How often do we as humans hold on to our bad energy? How many of us have resent? How many of us seek some sort of retaliation to someone’s rude words or actions? How many of us suffer from anxiety or simply fear of what is next in this existence? Jesus patiently stands behind us, waiting for us to give him these negative energies, so we don’t have to feel it. How often do we grip our resent or bad energy tightly, while he looks and waits? How often we hold on to anxiety with both hands, close to our chest when we simply don’t have to? We quite literally have a spiritual handover that can be accessed at any given second that we aren’t using, which in return causes our minds to be filled with resent, fear and anger.

Jesus trusts you… he trusts that you will trust him. Somewhat of a funny play on words, we know that he is only as good as our faith is in him. Remember he didn’t say he wants us to put our burdens on him just to sound trendy or to fit into social norms. It is his words that have been passed down for thousands of years because it is the reality of peace in this existence.

Spiritual reality overlaps this reality and it’s up to us to communicate, interact and comprehend its potent value-

Are you Happy? no, really?

Are you honestly happy?

Do you wake up in the morning upset before the day even begins? When you see certain people, do you find anger to suddenly appear from within? Are you always ready to combat whoever offends you, to return that “same energy.?”

Are you attached to every little thing, emotionally? Are you only one slow driver away from losing your peace? Are you rolling your eyes to other people’s success?

Are you annoyed by other people’s ideas or worldviews? Do you seek retaliation to rude people? Are you justifiably seeking pain to people who do bad things?

Do you make sure to attack other people’s mistakes? Are you shaking your head in disgust to their dumb decisions? Do you hope the absolute worst for people who commit bad crime?

Do you look at people who struggle and see a person who “got themselves” there? Do you laugh at people who struggle or look unique to the world? Are you a part of other people’s jokes that hurt others?

Are you talking about people who aren’t around, simply accepting all words as truth about them? Are you saying negative things about someone as quiet conversation feeling it’s justified?

Are you authentic and real? Do you honestly mean what you say to people or is it to maintain a reputation or hopeful validation? Is your “love” consistent across the board? Does it stay the same for someone even if it will forever go unnoticed?

With all of this being said, consider that “charity” forcefully drowns everything I just said out entirely. It is not associated with anything I just said in any way, shape or form. Quite literally, true charity is objective as 1+1=2 is. It doesn’t move, budge or slant. It remains consistent to everyone, at all times.

True charity is offensive to society, in its purest form. To look at someone with love who committed terrible crime is in itself wrong to the masses. Thankfully, charity doesn’t care about its reputation any more than the tornadoes care about its damage. Charity is extremely forgiving, to even the worst, most evil people. Charity sees the good in everyone, objectively. Charity looks past judgment entirely, staring directly into everyone’s full potential.

Charity has one goal, and it is to make someone else’s wellbeing better in whatever way possible. It truly is robotic in nature. It has no care for anything other than building up someone else, it stiff-arms all things that doesn’t align with service or smiles. It doesn’t project because it is very secure in itself and even if it somehow wasn’t, it still wouldn’t project because it doesn’t fit its purpose.

True charity is authentic. It doesn’t give hugs and say nice things for looks or to fit any religion or mold. It doesn’t do anything except out of its own free-will. It hopes to not be seen, to always remain anonymous. It doesn’t see itself as better than anyone or anything.

Charity, it simply exists

A Most Radical Contradiction: Jesus vs Society

The year is AD 30. You’re in Jerusalem. You live and die by the holy Torah. You’re anxiously waiting for a “messiah” to appear. The expectations you’ve mentally created are gigantic. He is a God; your imagination has led you to having the most profound beautiful picture of what it will be like. Your expectations? Possibly he will fly in from the sky. Maybe perform massive miracles to prove to the world he is the chosen one. Many Jews around you expect a potential military leader, at the very least. There must be something that makes it…dramatic. Something that makes it profoundly different.

You’re working one day in the streets, and you hear about this man who claims he is this exact messiah you’ve been waiting for. Shock and anxiety clash in your mind as you ask where he is. A friend tosses you information about his whereabouts and you decide to hang up your booth for a break. You take a stroll across town to see this “God.” As you start your inconvenient walk, subconsciously you find yourself doubting before you even arrive. You know time is money as you walk through the hot roads to the other side of the city.

You finally arrive to where he is. You look around. Nothing. You turn to a bystander, “where is this man who makes these claims?” A finger points to a certain section of the area and you finally lay eyes on him. What you see misses your expectations in a second’s notice. He is short, worn and dirt sticks to his skin. He looks like every other man who walks by your little fruit stand. Nothing about him is attractive to your consciousness. He’s far too normal. Your deep biases yell to reject him before you take another step forward. The hot sun blares down as you stand in discomfort thinking about your walk back to work. Before you leave, you ask a bystander about his whereabouts, and discover he was born in a manger of all places. Immediately you know he’s a fraud, another Wanna-Be Pagan God. Your God would never be born into poverty. That alone is all you needed to know. Your eyes lock his for a moment before turning around and walking away. You’re not angry necessarily, but more disappointed that your messiah still hasn’t arrived yet. You saw his followers listening to him, and you can’t help but giggle at their ignorance. “That is God”? You go back to your stand, disappointed that you spent your energy searching for this man. When you arrive back to your stand, you grab the Torah, take a breath and get back to work.

THE OBVIOUS CONTRADICTION: FAITH VS LOGIC

We have human rationale and logic. Our entire society was built off strictly these two realities. Intellect is everything to every professor and learned individual. Faith is not used in anything of the world regarding societal progression. Imagine if a doctor says he is going to have “faith” before operating on your heart because he isn’t sure about a certain part of the surgery? Imagine if the pilot of a plane said he will just have faith that the plane will make it to its destination because he is sleepy? Imagine if the architect of a building just said he used faith for the mathematical portions of its foundation? Society is entirely based off of everything but faith. Technology is all intellect and rationale. This had led to chemistry and mathematics. Everything branches off human rationale. Even thousands of years ago rationale was the basis to all societal growth. Faith just doesn’t cut it.

Jesus appears 2000 years ago and directly stabbed a sword into all of this. He came and contradicted all human thinking. He gave radically different ideas that no one had ever heard… to reject all of what you ever thought and obsess over the idea of “faith”. The idea of just thinking something is true without seeing it. He not only taught this but claimed to be divine. “I am” was his bold response to human rationale when asked his place in our world. Consider all of this is happening while many people still believed deeply in various pagan Gods. To make matters even more distorted, not only were there other different pagan Gods, but also other failed messiahs who came before him. Quite literally, there were other individuals who made similar claims of divinity but were complete frauds.

There was also stoicism, a secular philosophy that spread like wildfire to the masses. Stoicism was and is still an honest philosophy of logically finding peace in this life without a deity. Learned men with open minds attempted to discover true happiness entirely on their minds, using thoughts to find freedom. No attachment to the world was a part of it which sounds extremely similar to the ideas of Jesus except for one monumental fact: Jesus said that while you’re detached from the world, you are to fully attach to him. Detaching from the world can be radically lonely and can only bring so much peace. Jesus said to walk the other way and come directly to him, which in return will be a cheat code to your happiness and peace. Jesus taught that you’re actually NOT alone, but instead you’re standing behind the strongest force in all realities. At its core, the realities that Jesus taught stepped all over stoicism and replaced it with something so much better that after all is said and done, they’re not even comparable side by side.

But the big question to everyone at the time was if this man “Jesus” real, or just another narcissistic failed messiah? Was he a man with mental issues who couldn’t get medication because it simply didn’t exist back then? Maybe he was hoping for fame, social status? The worse would be if he actually thought he was a God, but wasn’t? Imagine just how skeptical so many were of this average looking “man”?

SPECIFICALLY CHOOSES THE WEAK OF THE WORLD

He specifically chose the weak of the world to push forward his ideas. Many were unlearned, probably socially rejected. Imagine a God walking on earth today, needing extremely vital work done, specifically going to a poor man working minimum wage for direct assistance over all scholars in the world? If this “Jesus” would have come now instead of then, we couldn’t expect anything less. If Jesus was God, one would think he would have gone for the higher up, those who are learned? Maybe even try to get up closer with the Roman leadership to influence more. While dangerous, he was a God, right? He instead specifically walked to and called out two men working in the shore, “Come, follow me, I will make thee fishers of men.” He grabs Matthew, a tax collector. Average job, potentially like a freelancer in today’s society. “Follow me” he said to Matthew. How odd is it that a God would only go for what is considered weak, corny and unlearned? Again, we see a contradiction of what any rational person would think.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES?

Love thy enemies? If this isn’t direct attack on every subconscious mind, then I don’t know what is. Jesus was nothing less than the physical embodiment of charity in its purest form. If you could go to a dictionary, pull out the word “Charity” and make it into a person, you have nothing less than this poverty-stricken individual two thousand years ago. Imagine just how many people live with resent, anger and project in modern society, in this moment. People wake up every morning with deep biases towards others, always holding it deep into their minds, always in a constant state of discontent. A fullness of peace can’t occur without letting go of all resent and negativity. Charity in its purest form rejects all anger, resent and frustration. It’s obsessed with helping others, without question. Charity is completely numb to trends and social norms. Charity looks right past lust and cravings as it marches forward to help and build up others. Charity is completely desensitized to all opinions and validation, perfectly ok with losing its reputation. It forgives and only sees the potential in even the worst of people. It is the most beautiful part of being …human. Jesus stressed this, personified it…he was a walking “charity” in the flesh. It was and still is the single most difficult thing the world struggles with. Consider that if this was fully comprehended and felt, the impact would be incomprehensible to all of us. It is unfathomable just how radically different this world would be with honest charity in our hearts. Our subconsciousness screams for self-sufficiency. It yells in our ear to increase our own personal well-being as much as possible, to seek the next high at all costs. Charity comes in and smothers it entirely, taking over your consciousness, dumping buckets of peace in the process. It replaces those same screams with beautiful incentive to help, to lose yourself. Jesus came down and laid down this potent fact of reality 2000 years ago. He showed the purest of love to everyone and everything. He was a most perfect example, a beautiful contradiction to every human conscious that has walked this earth or will ever walk this earth.

HE NEVER EXPECTED YOU TO BE TOO CRAZY, ONLY A LITTLE CRAZY (to the world)

A man claiming to be a walking God on earth, never expected anyone to just have faith. Faith without anything to show for it is delusion. How did this one-man 2000 years ago expect people to actually just believe him? We have the bible. We have witness of his followers who say they saw him walking around after he had been brutally executed. We have solid collective evidence that was a real person, and his followers were real...But that’s not enough. Nowhere near enough evidence to lose your entire life into someone who simply claimed something, off of documents that could have been edited or potentially forged. Who knows? History is only a confidence interval, not perfect knowledge.

He gives us subjective “feeling.” He gives us a feeling that is an outlier to anything of this world. It is something that if felt, can only be denied for so long before you simply must accept there is something actually happening. It quite literally is a shot of charity. It feels like “love” in its purest form, almost an unnatural shot of charity that kills all negative cravings. It is a pureness of peace that once felt, won’t be forgotten. Peace in its purest form is such a blissful feeling. Once again, how odd that science, intellect and logic would never accept “feeling” as a basis for evidence or progression, but God directly contradicts this…again. It almost seems that at this point, God is tediously trying to be contradictory to every drop of human rationale purposely. It almost seems that way… because it is that way. One man named Jesus has led to a worldwide religion, with even non-believers knowing who he is. I can’t imagine too many people not knowing who he is or never hearing of him on earth. Islam accepts Jesus as being a powerful man of God, so that’s roughly 2 billion people who also know of him. So, we can see that almost the whole world knows of this “Jesus”, which reduces the issue of ignorance to a very slim degree. Then, God tossed the foundation via witnesses and sufficient documents and the rest of knowing him is “feeling,” Feeling is truly the nail in the coffin, it is the overwhelming majority of the equation. The other matters simply lay down a foundation to source that faith from. It definitely has a vital purpose, nonetheless. As funny as it sounds, followers of Christ may be looked at as crazy…but not TOO crazy. Christians have the correct equation that leads to knowledge.

CONCLUSION

It’s quite clear that God’s ways are not societies ways, and God made sure to be different in every way possible. We tend to say that a lot, right? “God works in mysterious ways,” but sometimes we don’t actually sit down and look at the many ways he specifically chose to be contradictory. There is a reason for this. Everything about Jesus runs the opposite direction of society and the world. When I say run, I mean RUN. He wants you to detach from everything of this world, to let go of what you’re holding onto, to trust in someone you cannot see. He wants you to be looked at as crazy, to be perceived as weird. He wants you to sit on the sidelines of what looks like fun to the world. He wants you to not just let go of your resent but toss it on him. He wants you to reject retaliation, to instead ask bullies if they need help. He wants you to take the meanest projections from others you can imagine and respond with service. He wants you to be calm, to detach from your emotions, to be a leader at any time. Most of all he wants you to be free of fear, “Be not afraid, only believe.” He wants you to roll your dice on him, to put all your cards on the table…to take that risk entirely on him. With this detachment comes a change of how you feel, walk, talk, see things…every part of your life will be dramatically affected. Your consciousness will be swimming in charity as you peacefully walk through this existence, without fear. No attachment to the world but all attachment to him.

This average looking, poverty-stricken individual lived 2000 years ago. He stabbed a deep sword into everything human rationale stood for, with not an ounce of shame. He laid the reality of peace in this life, and it’s set in stone. His ways will never budge… society can pick at it, stomp on it, try to negotiate with it, but it is forever engrained, never to be moved. As much opposition as it faces, society’s fragile attempts are like tossing a cup of water into the massive ocean, it goes completely unnoticed.

THE ERROR RIDDEN BIBLE-

-The Bible is a contradictory, error ridden collection of documents. When I say it is error ridden, it quite literally has thousands upon thousands of errors tossed all throughout. Not only that, but there are obvious direct contradictions in it. The New Testament is drowning in errors to say the least. Even with updates and newer publishing, an atheist or someone outside Christianity has their hands full of biblical document flaws. Scribes really dropped the ball, didn’t they? It sounds like they did, but the reality is, it’s not anywhere near as bad as it seems.

99 percent of the errors in the bible were grammar related and the small leftovers are the contradictions. When I say contradictions, I’m referring to petty contradictions. For instance, Judas dies in two different ways. The story of Jarius and his daughter is contradictory in two of the gospels. Jesus didn’t technically die for a full three days and three nights, contradictory to prophecy. (Which is heavily debated to this day btw) Regardless of the petty contradictions, it is clear the bible serves its beautiful purpose.

1. THE BIBLE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN’S GOD; GOD IS THEIR GOD. the Bible is only a tool. A tool is something to assist in faith. If I used a hammer for decades, what happens to it? It gets scratches and wear on it. It loses its shape. Do we toss it? No. We continue to use it. why? because it still does its JOB.

2. The overall Christian narrative that Jesus came down to earth, lived, died and was resurrected is consistent in all four gospels. For someone to pick out petty contradictions actually does nothing to what matters most…that Jesus is a godly figure who came back to life. In fact, these contradictions are so subtle that most people don’t even realize it.

3. Because of point 2 above, Christians have logical reason to have faith in a Godly figure that came to earth and died by crucifixion 2000 years ago. He appeared to twelve rational men, then left. This is quite literally all Christians need to know to base faith off of. Christianity is not blind faith in the slightest. Blind faith is random cults that pop up and people base their belief off some dude who had a dream of some sort. Consider Jim jones. All those people died by drinking the purple “cool-aide” because they were having faith in Jims words, the faith was blind faith entirely. Whatever worldview is true, it must have evidence to base faith off of, blind faith not enough in a world of thousands of conflicting ideas. Random cults and followings are purely founded on someone else’s subjective experience only, which is a dangerous game to play.

Christians remember, if someone wants to bible bash, it’s a complete waste of your time. Logically speaking a bible bash is over before it begins. Bible bashes are arguably the most useless waste of anyone’s time that one can waste. It turns into a cat and mouse game, never ending. Logically, the narrative is consistent throughout, and the bible serves its purpose. PERIOD. no need to waste your time. Remember that a tool serves a purpose, and it doesn’t have to look pretty to accomplish that.

If Jesus Were Real (poem)

If Jesus were real, how would he feel?

A world of close minds, people who kill for a few dimes,

people exchange respect for sex, they get their checks and think it’s a flex,

the constant need for validation has people in desperation, their reputation needs a constant supply of admiration,

people are afraid but never prayed, their peace is decayed and dismayed,

people choose emotion over logic, an unnecessary demotion, a most worthless devotion,

bullies still exist and at times use their fist, make others suffer because they think they’re tougher,

males and female dating dynamics, constantly debating, hating and not relating, talk past each, no one wants to be last, neither side can be surpassed,

it’s gotten bad folks, it’s sad but I’m far from mad,

Standing outside the box I’m in shock, a nation of retaliation, frustration and content starvation,

if Jesus were real, how would he feel?

Logic: The Ignored Hero

Logic vs emotion. Where the idea of simply connecting the dots of reality is distorted, smothered and stepped on by emotion. I’ve been in a number of conversations with people who simply cannot comprehend logic. This is something I’m dumping out into words simply because it’s alarming. I’ve been in debates with people where I was backed into the wall, using every analogy I could think of to assist someone in understanding the logic of something, and they still continued to side-step, move the goal post and lack comprehension. I’ve had moments where multiple people were emotionally arguing my points and there was absolutely nothing of logic involved on their end, pure emotion.

It’s not that some people simply can’t connect the dots logically, but they don’t understand what logic actually is. I’ve had people get enraged at me for explaining facts and logic. Let that sink in here…they are mad at me for giving facts. Imagine being mad at a fact? Do people honestly believe that reality somehow feels pain? Do people honestly believe that logic has empathy? Logic is factual and abstract. It’s not a human. It’s not a creature with a mind. It’s simply connecting the dots of reality.

I firmly believe it’s important for every human being to study logic. Study what fallacies are. They are so vital to human progress. The number of sheer fallacies that are dumped on me in some debates has had me flabbergasted. What makes me anxious, is that people who argue for something, distort logic and genuinely feel they have a point? They honestly believe that what they say is true? The less of this that occurs the more we will progress as a society. Emotion truly is a dagger into the heart of societal growth.

How to Debate

If you have a point or idea to push, simply go into a debate hyper-focused on your logic. Imagine logic as being a string that ties your ideas together. This string is everything to your point. You are walking on this string. You have to obsessively focus on this little string, or you’ll fall off. If you say anything personal to the other person, use your credentials, become disingenuous to the others’ ideas, jump to conclusions etc… you jump off this little line and lose. You have to obsessively pay attention to your little thin line at all times. This is vital.

So many people go into arguments with a little thin line and are hopping off before they begin. They lose before the debate even goes anywhere. What’s worse is they don’t even recognize that they are not anywhere near their line, they are instead running around it, thinking they’re right. How unfortunate that reality disagrees with them?

So many people go into debates, already with a set world view and biases to where every opposing idea is immediately morphed into their worldview. They already have subjective biases to objective ideas. Let go of your worldview and biases just for a short time. This will radically assist you.

Analogous examples

One tactic I love to use is analogies and examples to help people comprehend my logic. As great a tool as this can be, I find it to be counter-productive at times. Analogous words or examples are only to assist in proving a logical point. Imagine with me that I have a photo of a beautiful forest with a blue bird in it. You look at this photo and are failing to see the blue bird. What do I do? I grab another photo with a blue bird in it. This other photo isn’t a forest though. It’s instead an ocean, but there is a little blue bird in it. Instead of you seeing the blue bird in front of the ocean, you begin to obsess over the ocean. You question the color of the sand. You see a fish and ask what it is. You look at everything except what I wanted you to look for. This only adds more confusion to me attempting to show my logic. This happens to me all the time. When people begin to lose thought into the actual analogy instead of the logic itself. It takes a truly aware individual to not overthink into analogies, to actual pay attention to the purpose of the analogy and not be consumed by the details. My advice? Make sure the analogy is as basic as possible.

Emotion self-Control

If you have even the slightest ounce of emotion before a debate, don’t even start. That seemingly insignificant emotion you hold will engulf into massive flames in only a matter of time. All it takes is one opposing thought to light that fire. One ad-hominem attack from your objector to make you jump off the edge of rationale. It happens to the best of us. In fact, I’d say if you go into a debate calm, you must be obsessively mindful of your emotions. They tend to explode rapidly when in argumentation. Then you find yourself losing focus, being illogical and tossing ridiculous fallacies at them, like personal attacks. The reality is emotion is the single greatest enemy to your success in a debate. It really is you vs you.

Conclusion

We all have our own subjective opinions and worldview. We all have tremendously unique minds that think differently. We all look at the same physical realities from different perspectives. My attractions are not your attractions. The list goes on and on. With all this being said, logic doesn’t care about my opinion or yours. It only cares specifically about reality for what it is. Logic set in stone, and we can only discuss it, not change it. If you want to truly be on the winning end of this existence always follow logic. Know what fallacies are. Fallacies are illogical concepts that people do in debate, thus making their points invalid. Knowing these fallacies (strawman, ad-hominin, slippery-slope, causation etc…) will allow you to be aware of logical bumps, thus creating a firmer case for your logic. In some debates simply sitting back and allowing your opposer to beat themselves is best. The number of fallacies the average individual produces should be sufficient enough for you to make more sense by simply calling them out. They won’t like it, but again logic and reality stiff-arm opinions.

If you believe something based off logic, be good at telling it. Excel at it. Good ideas are desired for societal growth. Debating is healthy for a growing society. Healthy debate, with no emotion, is a beautiful thing.

No, You Can’t Control Time and Space: Let Go

Our lives can be peaceful and fine on the outside, yet inside we create our own mental hell. How often are you finding yourself upset at a slow driver, traffic stop light, rude opinions from people or wayward children? How often are you attempting to control how much someone likes you? How often are you lost in thought to matters that will never be changed, regardless of how much you ponder it? This is the reality for millions of individuals, who stiff-arm their peace in exchange for fear and anxiety. If you can honestly self-reflect with me, how often do you catch yourself thinking about ways to change the impossible? Does a sailor, when he’s out in the ocean, attempt to change the water?

life is much more about reacting to events, situations and people than actually acting. Absorb this. We all feel that we’re in control of our lives, that it’s entirely up to us to change things. Of course, we need to make the first step, get out, take risks and push ourselves. But that is where our control ends. Most of everything in this existence is nothing more than a reaction to something. In a literal sense, every single day we step outside to go do things we are in constant reaction to whatever comes our way. This includes traffic, good/bad energy, relationships, and time. Literally everything outside your mind is able to potentially cause a reaction out of you, nothing is void of this potential. Something as minor as a comment on social media that has nothing to do with you, is guilty of reaction. How many of us are on the giving end of trying to somehow overthink our way into attracting someone? The list goes on and on, yet the point is to reject thoughts on matters that are not actively something you can control.

I feel that many people go out in the world, pay their bills and go to sleep at night thinking that they have far more control than they actually do. People are hyper focused on movement and action, turning a blind eye to reality for what it is. We are nothing more than a sailor out in the ocean, watching the water around us do as it so pleases. Nature does whatever it desires, and we can’t change it. So why do we as humans attempt to change other impossibilities?

The goal for you and me, is to change the lenses in which we wear. Change your perspective. Many people have the wrong lenses on for happiness. If you go out into the world subconsciously ignoring what you can and can’t control, you’re already dancing on top of your peace. You must have the perspective, right now, that you are nothing more than a sailor in the ocean. You do what you can, then let go and let nature run its course. Try it for me. The next time you find yourself in traffic, stressed mentally about time or other cars, imagine you’re a sailor in the open waters and you’re just going along for the ride. You’re not reacting to anything, you’re just at peace and acceptance with the reality of the situation. If you truly can grasp this perspective, you will immediately find a certain level of peace. Your mind will relax, and your body will not react. There is something deeply potent about knowing you are only a passenger to life, not the full driver most of the time. Change your lenses, so that from the moment you wake up in the morning you’re already prepared for everything outside your mind.

Letting go of external things is probably one of the most difficult aspects of this existence for most people. Even if you’re in the worst situation of your life, you have full control of your thoughts. If you’re broke, sad and rejected, remember that your thoughts can easily pull you out of the waters of sadness through this nightmare, every single time. You know subconsciously that suffering is always temporary. It’s your duty to accept reality for what it is and let go of any thoughts that aren’t actively increasing your well-being. this is entirely possible, even through the roughest of times. For most people, when their lives are falling apart around them, they react by stabbing the sword even deeper. Their own minds dump gasoline on an already disorderly fire. Never forget, You have the ability to go through horrific circumstance in your life while simultaneously being authentic towards your happiness. Imagine that? Zero in on what you can control in life and dust off all you can’t control.

Become hyper-focused to only what you want to achieve, at all times. Even when you’re awake late at night, the most vulnerable time for most people, you have full control over how you persuade your thoughts. We can’t literally stop a thought from appearing, but when a thought does appear, the way we will react to that thought will determine the following thoughts. Let that sink in for a moment. We can, by nature, change the course of our thoughts. Our subconsciousness stores all our past moments and memories to be used at a later time. This means we can gear our thoughts to the direction we want to optimize our well-being at any given time. take note.

I always say it like this, regarding your thoughts in anything. If a monk can burn to death in protest, all without any signs of suffering or pain, what makes you think you can’t do the same on your anxiety, overthinking and negative thoughts?

The Meaning of My Blog Name

“No attachment is freedom”. The name of my entire blog. What does this even mean? To be honest, I’d say that for most people, the name of my blog alone brings a certain level of comfort. There is something peaceful in just the mere idea of being able to be detached from all external things.

Meaning

I think the meaning is quite self-explanatory. To live your life almost entirely free of any emotional attachments to anyone or anything. This means your happiness is originated almost entirely from within, not from another person, car, house, your body, house or anything outside your consciousness. This does not mean you can’t allow things or people to add to your happiness, but the goals are to optimize emotional well-being to its fullest extent, alone, first.

for example, a breakup won’t break you, you will still be genuinely content and happy without that individual. While they may have added to your joy, they did not make your joy. This same logic is to be used in every other external factor in your little world.

Why?

We are in a society, that from birth, all our subjective experiences are geared towards finding external things to emotionally attach to. From the moment we start comprehending self-awareness, our consciousness is emotionally tossing itself out to whatever it so chooses. Even as a child, we were doing this. From video games to toys, we were already subconsciously giving away our emotional wellbeing to external things. As teenagers, we began dating and already giving our hearts away to people we barely even knew at the time.

As we become adults, it gets no better. If anything, our attachments to people and things just continues to grow. We become somewhat obsessed with houses, new cars, money, validation, sports, our bodies and other external matters. The most potent of all these things is other people, as in relationships. We are in a sense, tossing our happiness out like candy to all sorts of various things, subconsciously hoping they will all collectively hold up our emotional well-being.

The monumental issue with doing this, is any given day, you could lose all of these things. To broaden the perspective, even if you lost one thing, your happiness is going to be smothered. A man obsessed with money is only one bad recession from losing it. A person madly in love is only a breakup away from losing their world. Someone obsessed with their bodies and physical appearance is only one injury away from emotional destruction. The average individual in society is attached to everything except themselves.

It’s not only about “things” or “people” regarding attachment, but also the innate aspect of yourself. The innate emotional clinging to every negative issue or energy you receive. Yes, we all innately have these things, it’s a part of us naturally, yet just because it’s innate does not mean it is helping us. It’s actually destroying us, subtly. How many otherwise good men are weak and fragile with their lust? How many people can’t let go of arguments, road rage, rude energy or disrespect? how many people depend on validation to keep moving forward on their ideas? Even if you feel complete justification for acting upon these matters, you are still losing. What is happiness without freedom? These are powerful natural strings that have us tied down and it takes comprehension of this in order to tear away from them. Take mental notes.

This is concerning to me. Most people don’t even understand themselves, who they are and what their purpose is. They just follow society, running from high-to-high throwing up their happiness to everything around them like dollar bills in a strip club.

Suffering Vs. Detachment

A part of the reason detachment brings peace is due to its colossal ability to almost entirely stiff-arm suffering. Emotional suffering will be radically reduced by detachment. I firmly believe, that with correct mediation and mental comprehension, you could literally lose all things in your life and still continue to feel authentic content. If an individual lost everything, was forced into a state of being entirely alone with nothing, they could in fact feel the refreshing waters of peace through it all. If you actually think about it, a massive portion of human suffering comes from losing attachment to something or someone. This one concept is the author of sorrow for most people. To radically cut out the potential for mental anguish in your life is a comfortable, calming thought, in itself.

How

The reality is most people are not going to be able to hide away in the mountains and live the life of a monk. This is terribly unrealistic. I do believe that there are three ways to attain the fullness of detachment for anyone though. They are:

  1. Perspective
  2. Meditation
  3. Self-awareness

Perspective: Understand the reality of this existence. The value of the moment and time. A true comprehension of how beautiful life is, has potent power. Just knowing that at any given moment you could leave this existence, is to be deeply valued. How many people actually are in the “moment”? How many people worldview is drowning in ignorance? Perspective takes time and considerable mindfulness for most people to achieve. We must understand the world for how it “actually” is, not what we wish it would be.

Meditation is quite self-explanatory. It is the act of manually stopping everything in your life, putting all obligations on hold, to focus on nothing but a specific thought. The act of mental exercise will create a secure, hefty and robust mind, putting each thought on a leash. Imagine how that would affect your peace? Meditation is ridiculously underrated and underused. It single handedly, is the answer to world peace. I said what I said.

Self-awareness is in regard to external factors in your life. Such as a new commitment or your possessions. Awareness is knowing how your emotions are connected to these things. Having comprehension of what exactly is occurring to your emotions allows one to stop it before it dives off the ledge. This takes time for most people also, considering we are emotional creatures and usually aren’t thinking about “emotions”, we just go with the flow, thus opening the door to suffering.

Final thoughts

We start comprehension as a child, trying to figure out reality and be accepted. Our ignorance as a child typically leads us into a losing existence of attachments and suffering as we grow into adults. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich, famous and attractive, if you’re unhappy you, the emotional well-being that gives you reason to live is dehydrated and starving. Just as much as your subjective experience is only yours, you’re entirely responsible for your own happiness and liberation. This is all up to you. No one can jump into your “experience” and change this issue. This is the reality of life. The beautiful truth about all of this is we all can find authentic peace in this existence through meditation, honest perspective and legitimate self-awareness.

As yourself, as you read this right now… “am I honestly happy and content”?

A Nation of Unhappy, Anxious, Depressed People

Many people I talk to seem to love deep things of life. From death to consciousness, it seems many want to find time to sit and talk about it…until I actually talk about it. I find that most people innately want to know about why they exist, where they go after life and other deep matters, but their minds are too intoxicated with other things. I myself have never felt like a “normal” individual when it comes to my desires and likes. I’m overly obsessed with deep matters. If you want to talk about the Panthers, I probably will last maybe two minutes tops, on such a subject. If you want to chat about the human mind, you caught my attention for hours. In fact, I’ve been so obsessed with the universe, consciousness and philosophy that I’ve had a few bad dates because instead of talking about each other’s families the whole time, I nose-dived right into religion and mysterious of the universe. My mind is so far outside what most people are in. I don’t see reality for what most people do, I see it apart. I’m always looking at reality outside the box, not from an internal perspective.

Social Media vs. Content

I don’t care much for clubs, bars or big social gatherings. Small talk is slightly painful. Nothing about my consciousness considers being drunk as cool. Nothing about my consciousness thinks toxic is cool. I never look at someone partying or having “fun” and think “if only I was there”, ” if only I could be doing that”. I’m overly obsessed with making the biggest impact I can on society, and I realize that the hourglass of this life is constantly dropping sand. We live in a social media society that is strangling people’s emotional well-being daily. To me, social media is something I use as a tool to comprehend society more, to see what people are doing in the modern world. When I scroll down a feed on social media, I frankly see a bunch of individuals who lack comprehension of what happiness is, constantly seeking a high through validation. Constantly needing validation from their outward appearance as they manually attempt to force happiness into their lives. The ability of finding balance in life is such a constant struggle for millions as they go from high to high. For me, much of social media has become a collection of unhappy people, all fighting for attention all while tossing happiness in the back seat.

In 2009, Facebook initiated the “like” button for their followers. This, to me, was the start of the deterioration of peace for millions of young adults. Facebook was followed by Snapchat/Instagram and now TikTok. If anything, the validation and attention seeking aspect is thicker than ever before. The problem is we have a nation of people who either won’t admit the toxicity of social media or just accept its negativity.

Logic vs Emotion

It almost seems that I’m sitting outside the box of reality and am looking in, seeing just how deeply confused and illogical society is. Only a losing society chooses emotion over logic. Logic always wins and doesn’t care about your feelings. Imagine with me if I walked up to you and said ” I’ve been thinking a lot lately, lost countless hours of sleep but I’ve finally came to the conclusion that tornados need to stop happening. I don’t like them; they kill people and I realized that we need to make a movement against tornados”. Then, what if I began to push a narrative against tornados, giving statistics and crying on social media posts in hopes of ending this rude part of mother nature. I send in documents to political leaders to pass bills against tornados. What would you honestly think of me? Would you support this cause? Would you say “you know what Jarom, you’re right. it’s wrong and clearly biased against humans”. No, of course you wouldn’t. You’d laugh at me and think I’m genuinely delusional. You’d not even think much of me because it sounds so ridiculous. Now come back to this moment with me…this is no different than how modern society works. You could swap out a number of things with “tornados” above and the logic of how society works doesn’t change. Reality is what it is. The world and nature are set in stone. People’s attractions, tastes, desires and sex are all included in nature. Nature doesn’t care about your feelings. We, as a society use words and emotion as our sword in a failing attempt to change something, that will never change. Imagine trying to change something impossible? Do you consider that a worthy use of your time?

Are You Honestly, Happy?

Consider where your mind is at. It takes an honest soul to sit back and ponder if they’re actually happy in life. Even the most genuine people will lie to themselves on this basic question. Are you constantly needing validation? Are you always looking at other people’s lives, feeling a bout of sadness? Are you always anxious or overthinking? Are you enjoying the journey of life or are you in a constant state of waiting for the future? Do you honestly feel content with who you are, in this exact moment?

The reality is most people will receive a failing score on these questions. We as a society are failing miserably when it comes “happiness”. Why is this not spoken about more? Why are we losing so bad? How could millions upon millions of people have no comprehension of the power of their minds to content and peace?

Let’s toss a few statistics out here. Consider that drug related deaths have more than tripled since 1999 in the United States (1). in 2019, a study was conducted that focused on the percentage of single parent homes in various countries. One hundred-thirty countries were involved in this study and the United States came out on top with 23 percent of homes having only one parent. for comparison purposes, China was 3 percent. (2) In a paper written in 2000, they discovered that a child in the 1980’s had more anxiety than a child who was a psychiatric patient in the 1950’s. In both children and adults, the rise in anxiety was dramatically higher in the 1980’s (3). From 2008-2018, a long-term case was accomplished, having confirmed that anxiety is rising year to year (4). From addictions to anxiety, most serious issues as a society are not getting better. In fact, they are dramatically getting worse. How shocking to know that people in the 1950’s, who just came out of a world war, had dramatically less anxiety than people in the 1980s? Yes, this does matter to us now, considering that statistics also show that it has only blown up more since then. Imagine if we did a study of the 1950’s with the present day? with social media? How ridiculous would that be?

Not just the mental health of the nation but the fatherless homes, drug addictions and other issues rock the happiness of millions. It’s almost as if people are obsessively looking for peace, happiness and content in everything except themselves? That one day they will finally take their last puff of drugs? That one day they will finally get to their last photo on social media, that will finally end the need for validation? That they can strategically find happiness through an alternate route that even reality doesn’t know about yet?

The Current State of the Nation

The nation is in a mental and emotional battle, one that is destroying happiness by the millions. We have a nation of depressed, anxious and unhappy people. A nation of people who don’t have comprehension of what content even is. Millions of people who stiff-arm happiness in exchange for pleasure and high. Millions of people who justify bad behavior, thus leaving them sad and confused. A deep unbalanced obsession with their bodies and physical appearance. Millions of people who lose all value of the present moment in exchange for a future happiness, that never comes. People are on vacations, already thinking about their next vacation.

The sun will still rise tomorrow, sky will be blue, and oceans will still be salty. Nature and mother earth doesn’t care about if we’re happy or not. The laws of nature from attractions to the consequences of bad behavior will still continue to happen, every single time. There is no fooling reality. It’s up to us as a society to find happiness and act accordingly. We need to make some dramatic changes. We need to have a full comprehension of what happiness is. We need to stop obsessing over physical appearance and value intellect. People should stop losing their morals for “liberation” because reality doesn’t care if it’s what you want. Lust needs to be sucker punched and left behind because it has so many people on leashes like dogs. The nation needs to let go of seeking validation and grab onto peace. No, you don’t need to be with someone to find happiness, you can do that entirely alone. People need to find happiness from within, independent of anything or anyone else.

I question if anxiety and drug overdoses have risen so much thus far, how will it be in a hundred years? two hundred years? What are the poor future generations in store for? I’m not a betting man but if I see a graph and it’s only going up, I will gamble that it will only continue that way until something changes. How interesting that as technology gets better, our happiness seems to get worse.

How Did Your Consciousness Form?

Consciousness is the most fundamental aspect of our existence as humans, yet the least understood. Scientists know more about the ocean, galaxy, insects and animals then they do about consciousness. A scientists could give you all your heart desires about the deepest levels of mathematics or chemistry yet be completely lost on where the consciousness appears from. He could tell you all about the seen galaxy, planets and light-speed but nothing about where a thought actually comes from. Consider that Neuroscientists will go through ten years of schooling to achieve a PHD, only to be just as lost about the consciousness as before they even started. You could know every detail and scientific term regarding the brain yet know nothing about the consciousness. This is easily the greatest mystery of our existence simply because it is who we are. All our subjective experiences are bound within an abstract “ghost”, “spirit”, or whatever you want to call it. It’s the source of every good memory, relationship and high. All the embarrassing moments, anxiety and fears all produce from this mystery.

How did “You” become, “You”?

The passions, attractions, taste, fetishes, favorite music etc… are all from the consciousness and you have no control over why that is. A big part of your consciousness was formed by either

A. Someone else, as in a creator or external being outside this reality.

B. You discovered these things (attractions, taste, passions etc…) from a different world or place before you were born. As in you lived before you existed in this world and developed everything previously in a different place, dimension or realm.

C. It spontaneously happened at the moment of conception

The Issue With C

Ultimately, there really are no other possibilities. It must fall into one of these three ways. The reality is, out of these three possibilities, letter C above seems the most out of place. It seems this way, though I’m not saying it’s not a possibility. To have our consciousness, everything we are, just oddly pop together at the moment of conception is downright weird. In this scenario, it almost feels like we would be all dice; at the moment of conception someone tosses all the dice on the floor and whatever numbers that are facing up are our subjective consciousness. As in, when the sperm hits the egg and initiates the process of forming a new “consciousness”, everything we know, what makes us unique, is nothing but a randomized situation and nothing more. If one accepts this scenario as being true, they must also accept that there is no meaning behind this, therefore, nothing in nature or the world has any meaning. How could someone possibly believe that our own consciousness is randomized while simultaneously thinking there is meaning in any other part of this existence? This one belief would forfeit all meaning in life, alone. One can’t pick and choose logic. I’m not saying that letter C can’t be true, but I do realize the consequences of accepting it. All one needs to do is accept this one idea to believe everything is a coincidence in this existence and nothing more.

The only way to make sense of C, to fit it in a world where there is meaning in reality, would be to at the very least also accept A. If A and C were combined, this would mean the creator (or external being) has a way to form us in this reality only and chooses to randomize our consciousness. If this were the case, then at the very least one could accept meaning elsewhere in this existence. Obviously, B and C would be a direct contradiction, so that wouldn’t work.

A or B?

A is of course the side billions lean on as they open their bibles or religious books. This is the letter that would be chosen for all theists. The idea of a creator, a God, who formed us before we were born. One big concept that is used against theists is that the whole idea of a “God” or “creator” is sourced in nothing more than their fear of death. That someone believing in a God is only trying to fill the void of “ceasing to exist”. I easily combat this (having been a strong atheist in the past) with two things

  1. The idea of a Creator of some sort is consistent with logic and science. Tell me, when’s the last time you saw something pop up from nothing? Do horses pop up in your room? Do watches appear from the air? Do cars suddenly fall from the sky, from nothing? Many atheists will accept science and logic everywhere, yet conveniently ignore it in only this one instance.
  2. Theists do, in fact fear “ceasing to exist”. If Theists would be honest, they can admit that. I can. The reality is our Innate consciousness craves “meaning” to itself from the moment of awareness. I feel that having such deep innate craving is natural and has meaning it itself. I repeat, there is meaning in wanting meaning.

Most of these two points are self-explanatory but the last of point 2 above is vital. Why does our abstract consciousness deeply crave meaning to itself? Why are we all born needing this, innately? A skeptic immediately has answers to this, yet I have deep argumentation here. I feel strongly our abstract consciousness could be self-aware and the same as it is now, yet not have innate craving for meaning. There is meaning in wanting meaning, for our existence. I feel there is a reason why we have this innate desire, it isn’t just by accident. The fact that billions of people can be born into the world and crave something so deeply, is more than an accident. Most of us would agree that innate cravings, that are universal, have a purpose. For instance, we all innately want to be loved. We all innately want to be accepted. We all innately need our mothers love. These all serve important purpose and there are deep reasons why we all have these innate desires. Reasons that actually make a big difference in our existence. So why is the idea of innately craving “meaning” seen as a cop-out for God? Could it not be that there is a reason for this? That maybe a creator put that in us purposely to search for him? let that sink in.

Letter B is also, technically, just as logical. We’ve all heard of reincarnation. That we are in a constant cycle of living various lives. From bugs to people, all of us will one day live as something else over and over again. Of course, this is an abstract belief but is not impossible. There are countless stories of young children knowing about certain times in history such as events or places without ever opening a history book. We have the really weird conscious glitch of Deja vu, where we feel oddly reminiscent of something we’ve never experienced, or have we? Apart from reincarnation we could also just explore the idea of simply living in another dimension outside this time and space, or our consciousness has its own abstract world it’s a part of and attaches itself to a physical brain for this experience here. It could use the physical “brain” as nothing more than the tool it uses to exist in this dimension. Regardless, to say there is nothing outside this reality, where we could have come from, is a huge act of blind faith.

Conclusion

All the abstract thoughts and feeling that make you who you are, is such a deep mystery. Of course, you could be religious, certain that your worldview is correct, yet one must always realize that their worldview is one in tens of thousands. Everyone has their own unique belief about the world and look at this existence through a certain lens. The interesting thing is it is logically impossible for any two worldviews to both be right, meaning either all the worldviews are wrong or only one is right. Technically, every worldview in existence could all be wrong…but that’s just technically, right?
